Windows 7 SP1 Fails At 7%
I've been having trouble trying to get my computer to boot; I'd noticed a drop in performance (still unsure why) so decided to boot up in safe mode and poke around Instead, run a CheckDisk, a System File Checker, and then an Update Readiness Tool, as explained by Tech Recipes. The SP1 installed and everything went find until this last 7 installation patches from MS. It installed ok up until that point but then failed and reverted to original settings. Two things I would try, go to programs & features, top left, View installed updates, IE9 will be there in the updates - try uninstalling it.
