Guess it's worth one more download huh? I never did get the DVD install to work on the mixed SATA/IDE system. It told me that my ITE IT8211 ATA/ATAPI Controller must be updated in order to install 6. I've looked in the related links at the bottom of this thread, but it only says to retry burning the ISO on the slowest speed. Check This Out
When I had it plugged into a USB3 port it was giving me that error. Before I did anything, I downloaded a free copy of Hiren's Boot Disc with Keyboard Patch just in case I had any issues (freeware and fairly easy to find if you Install Windows 7 RC via VirtualBox and get the experience! Select The Driver To Be Installed Windows 7 Usb It gives me a screen with nothing listed and lets me browse the computer to find a cd/dvd driver (I assume) but I can't really find anything.
I need to reformat though at this point -- I hope it will at least let me do that. Picked up an old DVD-R from my junkbox. - It rocks ! I tried all the various other solutions I could find, none of which were working (I suspect because I'm downgrading from windows 10 back to 7). If you are having difficulty with updating driver manually, you can use Driver Easy to help you. Sata Drivers For Windows 7 might be a silly idea but since your Cd/DVD drive is IDE you might want to double check the jumper setting on it.

I watched it install the drivers from when I installed 7077 build but I just thought it want some kind of DLL extension or something... And judging by the huge amount of other people dealing with the same issue, it must be something to do with the finnicky nature of the ISO's...
