If you have Windows Update set to automatic, the service pack will not make you more secure.

Was stuck for 7 hours trying to install (windows 6.1-KB2533623-X64.MSU…)Tried to start from the beginning, step by step, and things seems to be going good. Reverted to a safe earlier restore point with a proprietary utility that used a linux operating system to rebuild the restore point from outside windows. Imagine that.

Generally the Windows 7 issue that is addressed by this article is related to problems with the OS rather than a network error. So… I downloaded the DVD ISO for a manual install. I cannot believe this is legal. Got 66% into it and it just stalled out.
Regardless, we use Windows 7 in a production environment on over 300+ computers and we get minimal complaints, and this is shortly after upgrading from XP. dont ubdate this file what should I do? Hope that helps. I have done it twice on radically different machines… both times memory errors, THAT WERE NOT EASY TO FIX!
