I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10, and now it won't shutdown properly. Computer Won't Shut Down Windows 7 I have checked power settings in bios and control panel. It runs fine , and i see no error in the event viewer.

Thank you for all your invaluable assistance. Look for the download in the "Driver-Chipset" category. Here is what happens: Start menu > Power > Shut down It exits windows and apparently turns off (black screen) The power lights are still on and my computer apparently doesn't I see and understand your point, (a good one, I may add) but what you're saying would rank in a highly unlikely senario of that happeneing.
