Mft File Location I have 160GB HDD. Yes, it is safe. the thing is....after a windows defrag the boot time decrease with few sec(3-5) than with any other defragger....
So I've searched for more informations and I found some rumours that defrags can do that.. Wipe Mft To change one small part of it, corrupts the whole drive. but MFT gets fragmented in time.... Then, empty the Recycle Bin.

This was written about spinning disk drives of course. Many people like to defrag at the end of the day, and there used to be advice to keep your PC on overnight for defragmentation to run.
