Once I’d extracted the files to a normal folder, the thumbnails appeared normally. Try to reinstall "shmedia.dll". That didn't work. Can you help? So frustrating. When I attach my phone via the usb cable and open my camera file on the sd card, I can't see the images themselves, only the blue icon. I've taken a screenshot demonstrating the problem, here: Sometimes, a few image thumbnails will show up correctly, maybe about one in ten, with the rest failing as well.

Whenever I restart PC Windows loads images from scratch. I'm running widows 7 64 bts with i5 and 8gb memory and plenty Hd real estate with no fragmentation! My problem is that anything do with Adobe will not display thumb nails, PDF, PS7 (part of CS3) etc. Windows 10 Won't Show Thumbnails As I use images for my business and cannot identify them except by file name this is a disaster.

Install the K-lite codec pack from the K-lite website, *THEN* (and this is important) install the 64 bit version afterwards.
