Surely, if this were the case, the computer would register no USB devices at all? It realy came in handy when my parents laptop refused to boot and went BSOD on me. October 18, 2009 mohan Thanks man. the flash disk is really old and cheap. but none is automaticly found,. I though my HDD was corrputed, but this helped fixed it. but i can see that device at task bar for ejection.

Functionally excellent, but slow. Although I never successfully Dl'd Ubuntu, I used Puppy Linux (Thanks Gary P) which was a much smaller (and therefore easier) download, and it worked flawlessly. It was running in PC and other laptops but it was showing in Macbook Pro, which I have and the matter of Harddrive could be copied and pasted in that. Theoretically it should be easy to use an external hard drive with your Mac. No luck in other boot options.
