I can try downloading a large file which I am sure does not contain a virusAlso I am quite sure that it is not a virus cos I keep my AV Avast is known to cause crashes on some systems. In fact, even if i had it, the pc crashes no matter if a download finishes or is in process. Also, please remove Daemon Tools, as it uses a driver called dtsoftbus01.sys that is known to cause BSODs.

Have you tried checking the filesystem integrity? I thought I had solved the problems until it started happening again so i removed all the torrents I had ( as one had been downloading for several months).
